Regenerative olive management: soil and economic outcomes after six years

Source publication: 2026-02-16 · Our publication: 19 October 2026

A comparison of neighbouring Spanish olive groves examines soil and economic performance after six years of regenerative management.

The study reported improved soil indicators, with weaker results in sparsely vegetated regenerative areas. Its calculated net balance was €1,340 per hectare versus €467 under conventional management.

Limits and practical relevance

These farm-specific figures are not a profit forecast or a multi-site randomised trial. For Paxos applications, we propose tracking labour, inputs, production and revenue alongside soil measurements, so that environmental progress and farm viability can be assessed together.
