The rhizosphere ten years after chemical treatments
A long-term look at organisms around tree roots.
Study published:
Returning to the roots
Ten years after chloropicrin or methylisothiocyanate injection into Douglas-fir trees, organisms around structural roots were examined. [1]
A measurable difference persisted
Active fungal biomass was lower around trees treated with either chemical than around trees without injections. [1]
A connection with our Center
We want educational records that allow a return to the same location over time. We therefore plan records of position, application history and dates linked to each image and sample.
Presentation context
Presentation of the published abstract for the particular forest tree injections. The educational connection is our own.
